Well, over on theremon.blogspot.com our friend [and protégé] Manoel is hitting his stride with his fusion of perfect and idiosyncratically inventive English. Very amusing. At this rate he’ll soon have a successful book [“ A Dago Lost in London”?]. Or a column in a national newspaper at least. Meanwhile, I can’t even get a response from the editor of the Pontevedra Bugle to my offer to write a weekly article in any language he cares to choose. Nor from some rag called The Costa del Sol News. Says it all, really. Perhaps starting at the bottom was a mistake.
