Well, it’s been a gloriously sunny weekend here in southern Galicia and my daughter and her boyfriend have been up from Madrid, occupying my time. I haven’t read a newspaper or watched the news and my notepad is empty of jottings. But I did see both Lee Westwood and Tom Watson throw away the British Open on the last few holes.
