In 1946 - a memorable year for a number of reasons - the unlikely duo of Walt Disney and Spain's surrealist painter Salvador Dali began collaborating on a film called Destino. The project was finally completed in 2003, many years after Dali's death, and the studio issued a six minute film which was well received and garnered several (well justified) awards.
I know about this only because it's considered to have some connection with Alice in Wonderland and so is featured in the Tate Liverpool's exhibition on Lewis Carroll's famous works. This connection seems pretty tenuous to me. But thank God they thought of it.
Enjoy. Unless you're a philistine.
